D.S.S. Licensing Waivers for Covid-19
Of the budget bills HB 29 Reconvened HB 30 Reconvened they each have amendments to allow the portability of the background checks and waiver in the license fee to child care centers that strictly open up for the children of essential employees.
$70 million from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act will be used to provide COVID-19 incentive grants to child care providers, emergency child care providers, eliminating co-pays for families of children that enroll with a provider that participates in the subsidy programs, and the funds will extend the number of absence days to providers that temporally closed due to CAVID-19.
